NOTE: The information in this letter affects only those customers using the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Operating System (OS). If this does not apply to you, please disregard.

We believe our customers need stable, well-supported operating systems on which to run their EDA tools. In order for us to align to timelines of our OS and hardware vendors, we are updating our 17³Ô¹Ï Compute Platforms Roadmap. 17³Ô¹Ï will be ending support for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5 Operating System and RHEL 6.6 will become the baseline Red Hat Linux Operating System for all 17³Ô¹Ï Feature Releases starting with the 2016.12 (M-Foundation) release.

Feature Releases and Service Packs released prior to 2016.12 will continue to support RHEL 5.
